Overview

GREEN OPEN SPACE – 1400 ha

First Land has two distinct koppies that stand proud of the landscape. Demarcated preservation areas around the koppies anchor the green spine that runs through the precinct which fosters and connects the precinct to the indigenous landscape. Urban farming and park areas are integrated throughout the development. These areas prioritise access and opportunities for the community to connect to nature in a safe environment. The green spine offers trail running tacks and areas for; play, conservation, sport, relaxing and socialising.

The catalyst for this precinct is the development of the new state of the art Fresh Produce Market and Agrihub for Gauteng. The new industrial area and distribution hub flanks the exisiting Transnet railway and neighbours the newly proposed Mzanzi rail inland port. The Transnet railway connects First Land to South Africa and the SADC region allowing freight traffic to shift from national roads to rail.

Find community in the diverse range of residential offerings. First Land precinct has a wide collection of residential zones ranging from high density, mixed use living and afforable housing to student housing and stand alone plots that live out to the expansive natural environment.

The mixed use zones create dynamic neighbourhoods to live, work, shop and play within the precinct. The commercial and retail nodes activate public spaces allowing for comfort, convenience and a sense of “place”. A new educational campus will develop around a world class Agriculture College and research facilities with aims to strengthen the industry in local context. Student housing will enable learners from accross the country and wider SADAC region to live and learn in the precinct. The educational facilities throughout the precinct will enable a productive learning environment from cradle to career.
